If you start seeing graphic tees with the phrase “WIMPIII” everywhere this spring, here’s why: everyone’s favourite musical sister trio, HAIM, announced their aptly titled third album Women In Music Pt. III (hence, WIMPIII) will arrive next month.

The sisters are already teasing what’s to come with a new single, “The Steps” and an accompanying music video.

HAIM’s lead vocalist Danielle co-directed the video with acclaimed filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson (he also happens to be the Haim sisters’ family friend, according to Pitchfork). The sisters thrash around in an apartment, applying lipstick while they brush their teeth and wipe makeup off their faces. It’s a beautiful mess.

This isn’t Anderson’s first collaboration with HAIM. He directed the video for “Little of Your Love” in 2017 and shot the WIMPIII album cover, which features HAIM in a deli wearing aprons.

WIMPIII is the follow-up to the sisters’ acclaimed 2017 album, Something To Tell You. They have released a few other singles in the past few months, including “Now I’m In It” and “Summer Girl.”

Women In Music Pt. III will be out on April 24.
