Taylor Swift is known for dramatic, conceptual music videos, but her newly released video for “The Man” will make you do a double take.

Swift directed and stars in the music video as an alpha male-type, much like the archetype she sings about in the song. She is nearly unrecognizable in prosthetics and a wig, flaunting through an office in a tailored suit and drinking on a yacht with a crew of models. There is not much dialogue, but when Swift as “The Man” does speak, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is the voice.

She tweeted about how excited she is for the video release: “Just sitting here pondering how happy I am that The Man music video is OUT. I want to say thank you to so many people- Gotta thank @TheRock for voicing The Man and for being so supportive of my music for years (and now my directorial debut!)”

Swift loves hiding Easter eggs in her work and “The Man” is no exception. At one point in the video, she approaches a subway station wall with a sign that reads “MISSING: IF FOUND RETURN TO TAYLOR SWIFT” – names of her albums like RedReputation and 1989 appear in graffiti. Last year, she had a public dispute with Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta over ownership of her music catalog, and she doesn’t hold back on referencing it: at one point, there is a sign with a crossed-out scooter. The word “Karma” appears cryptically in graffiti as well.

Cameo-wise, Swift’s father Scott made his first music video appearance as a tennis ref, while Swift has a “mantrum” on the court. The scene is speculated to reference Serena Williams’ argument with an umpire in 2018, in which she (rightly) accused him of sexism.
