With less than a month to go before Barbie officially hits our screens, the press tour is well and truly ramping up.

Star Margot Robbie is doing the most to channel her on-screen counterpart, serving us a series of press tour looks that are nothing less than Barbiecore perfection.

The first event for the highly-anticipated film was held in Los Angeles, and saw Margot joined by her co-star Ryan Gosling (Ken), director Greta Gerwig, as well as an all-star ensemble cast, including America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Issa Rae, and Michael Cera.

Naturally, while her castmates wore an array of neutral colours, Margot stole the show in a hot pink Valentino look.

Specifically, to mark the occasion, Margot donned a hot pink mini dress emblazoned with white polka dots and a cut-out halter neck that looked like it could have been pulled straight from the film’s costume department.

She completed the look with her blonde hair in a Barbie-esque blowout, with white pumps by Manolo Blahnik and a yellow bag.

Twitter was quick to notice that the outfit wasn’t just inspired by Barbie, but was taking notes on a real-life barbie doll — right down to the accessories. We’re obsessed with the attention to detail.

And, if we thought things couldn’t get better, Margot’s husband Tom Ackerly also joined her for the occasion, making for the cutest photo op.

The pair keep their relationship relatively low-key, so naturally, fans were thrilled at this rare public appearance.

Then, for an unofficial stop on the press tour, the film’s Instagram account shared a second snap of the day, with Margot slipping into a pleated mini skirt and bralette by Bottega Veneta in the exact shade of pink as her vintage Corvette.

Proving she really is the only person for the role, the actress commemorated the occasion by posing next to the car in full Barbie-mode. Completing the look was vintage-style pink glasses, a mini bag, and a gold anklet, all by Bottega Veneta, as well as pink pumps by Manolo Blahnik.

Kicking off the Australian leg of the press tour, Margot touched down in Sydney in the preppiest Chanel look we’ve ever laid eyes on.

And, continuing her streak of channelling her on-screen counterpart, the outfit was complete with plenty of pink accents.

As well as transforming Sydney’s iconic Icebergs pool for the occasion, Margot nailed the brief for the first press event in Sydney.

The actress took notes from a 1959 Barbie doll in a custom Hervé Leger bodycon dress, white shades, and black pumps by Manolo Blahnik.

It’s not just Barbie on Margot’s list of sartorial inspirations.

This time she’s harking back to 1994 Versace and the era of the super-supermodel.

From the pink sweater, to the metallic skirt and socks-and-pumps combo, this look is entirely from the Versace FW94 collection — and is the same one worn in the campaign by iconic supermodel, Christy Turlington.

Later that evening, she donned another Versace number, also from the FW94 collection. The pink metal-esque mini dress was worn by Claudia Schiffer in the ’90s.

Continuing her streak of Barbie-inspired slays, Margot pulled off not one but two stellar looks at the film’s Seoul premier.

According to her stylist, Andrew Mukamal, the looks were inspired by a 1985 ‘Day To Night’ version of the doll, which features a preppy daytime look, and a glittering evening number.

The next Seoul press event was equally stellar, with Margot portraying the 1964 ‘Sparkling Pink’ Barbie doll. For this look, she slipped into a glittering 2015 Moschino suit, complete with a quilted heart bag and matching beret-style hat. Chef’s kiss.

For press in Mexico, Margot channeled the 80s—perfectly, we might add.

A film’s global premiere is arguably the biggest stop on any press tour so, naturally, Margot pulled out all the fashionable stops. For the premiere in Los Angeles, she dazzled in a glittering black gown by Schiaparelli, inspired by the 1960s ‘Solo In The Spotlight’ Barbie. She nailed the detail of this one, right down to the pink handkerchief, Lorraine Schwartz jewels, and Manolo Blahnik heels.

Margot’s look for a photocall in London might not have been inspired by a specific doll, but she certainly proved how perfectly suited she is to the role. Has there ever been a more Barbie-esque outfit than this hot pink Dilara Findikoglu mini dress and matching accessories?

Then, for the film’s official UK premiere, Margot pulled off another stunning doll-inspired look, in the form of the 1960 ‘Enchanted Evening’ Barbie. For this elegant ensemble, she wore a baby pink Vivienne Westwood gown featuring a fur-trimmed neckline and opera gloves, with pearls by Assael and Christian Louboutin heels.
