It’s impossible to keep up with the hours and hours worth of shows and movies that premiere every week. Here, we highlight the new titles arriving on Netflix Canada this July to help you decide what to watch.

Stranger Things (Season 4, Part 2)

The wait is finally over for the conclusion to the fourth season of Stranger Things, but, rest assured, the creatives wanted to make sure they made up for the gap in between episodes: The last two installments run at 1 hour and 25 minutes and 2 hours and 30 minutes. Good luck to our friends in Hawkins—it looks like they’re going to need it.

Hello, Goodbye, and Everything in Between

After stealing hearts as John Ambrose in the To All the Boys movies, Jordan Fisher is back being charming in another YA romcom. Adapted from Jennifer E. Smith’s best-selling novel, Hello, Goodbye, and Everything in Between follows Aidan (Fisher) and Clare (Talia Ryder), a young couple who made a pact to break up before they leave for college and plan one last grand romantic night together, retracing some of their major relationship milestones.

Boo, Bitch

Speaking of To All the Boys, former ELLE Canada cover star Lana Condor—a.k.a. Lara Jean herself— gets spooky for Boo, Bitch, a teen comedy about a by-the-books high school student who wakes up one morning and discovers she’s…a ghost. So obviously she decides to make the most of the situation and turn her new “life” into something more epic.

Under the Amalfi Sun

Get a taste of la dolce vita in the scenic-looking Under the Amalfi Sun. The Italian flick follows young couple Vincenzo and Camilla (Lorenzo Zurzolo and Ludovica Martino), whose bond is put to the test during a vacation at the dreamy Amalfi Coast—all while their respective BFFs stir up relationship drama of their own. Ciao!

Resident Evil

If you’re easily scared, beware. Based on the popular video game franchise and its subsequent movie series, Resident Evil the show is set in two timelines: one in 2022 during which two twins into New Racoon City, a planned community by the powerful Umbrella Corporation, with their father, and the other in 2036 when the zombie-like T-virus has reduced the human population to just 15 million people who are forced to live in walled city states to avoid billions of cannibal mutants.

Available: July 14

Persuasion

Dakota Johnson stars in Persuasion, an adaptation of the beloved Jane Austen, as the witty Anne Elliot, a modern woman who was convinced by her snobby family to break off an engagement almost a decade ago. When her ex, Frederick Wentworth (Cosmo Jarvis), comes back into her life, Anne must decide if she can put the past behind her for good, or take the second chance to follow her heart.

Remarriage & Desires

In the world of the uber-rich, marriage is often treated like a business arrangement—something the exclusive matchmaking agency in K-drama Remarriage & Desires keeps in mind through their work. But when one woman (Kim Hee-sun) loses everything after going through a divorce, she schemes up an elaborate plan to get revenge against her ex-husband and his mistress. We have a feeling you’ll want to bring out the popcorn for this one.

Virgin River (Season 4)

For a romance drama set in a cozy small town, romantic drama Virgin River sure knows how to bring on the…well, drama. The fourth season begins with Mel (Alexandra Breckenridge) excited about her pregnancy and finally becoming a mother—although she’s not actually sure if the father is her deceased husband (Daniel Gillies) or her boyfriend Jack (Martin Henderson). All this begs the question: Can you be in a love triangle with someone who isn’t there?

The Gray Man

Ana de Armas, Regé-Jean Page and Billy Bob Thornton also star.

Uncoupled

If there’s one thing we know about Darren Star—a.k.a. the creator of shows like Beverly Hills, 90210, Sex and the City and Emily in Paris—it’s that he knows how to make TV we’ll obsess over. His latest is Uncoupled, about a new dramedy about a NYC real estate broker (Neil Patrick Harris) who has to reenter the dating scene in his 40s after his partner of 17 years suddenly leaves him.
