Zoë Kravitz and Channing Tatum are two of the greatest celebrities out there. Right now, they’re basically living the New York summer of everyone’s dreams. Grabbing iced lattes, bike riding through the bustling streets and strolling through the park (all the while, donning some incredibly enviable outfits).

For a few months, the rumour mill has been in overdrive about whether or not the pair are dating. While the paparazzi photos we’ve been gobbling up would certainly imply the pair are romantically linked, neither have officially confirmed anything yet. Despite it all, our interest in their relationship (romantic or not) has certainly piqued our interest.

Read on for everything we know about the pairs friendship/work relationship/romance so far.

Pussy Island

Mere months ago, news broke that Kravitz was set to direct Pussy Island, and had chosen Channing for the leading male role. The thriller flick is about a young actress who falls for a handsome tech mogul, played by Tatum (obviously).

According to Deadline, Zoë actually created the role with Channing in mind.

“Chan was my first choice, the one I thought of when I wrote this character,” she said. “I just knew from Magic Mike and his live shows, I got the sense he’s a true feminist and I wanted to collaborate with someone who was clearly interested in exploring this subject matter.”

In a later interview, Tatum revealed that he was “shocked” when Kravitz reached out. “No one gives me a chance to play a role like this, everybody throws me down a different alley and expects me to do a certain thing,” he said.

Flirty Banter

Right off the bat, the chemistry between the pair was undeniable, particularly during interviews promoting the film. In one memorable press moment, Channing revealed that Zoë had playfully mocked him for wearing Croc shoes when they first met.

“When someone can just come out and tell me I should not be wearing Crocs, and is so adamant about it, she completely convinced me, and I never wear Crocs anymore,” Tatum said.

“I was just trying to be a good friend, Chan,” she replied, adding, “Just to be clear, there are people who can pull off the Crocs thing; I just wasn’t sure you were one of them.”

At the time, this was passed off as a bit of flirty banter, but now we see it was a sign of bigger things to come.

The Fan Accounts

Eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot a few interesting things on Channing Tatum’s Instagram account. Not only is the actor following Zoë Kravitz herself, but he’s also hit the follow button on a few fan accounts dedicated to the actress. Yep, he’s following not one but four different accounts who worship at the altar of Miss Kravitz — @ZoeKravitzSource, @zkluv, @zoekravitzinc and @kravitzupdate.

If this is how flirting looks in 2021, we’re into it.

Biking Through Brooklyn

The internet practically broke when pictures of the pair surfaced, which showed them biking through NYC and being more adorable than they have any right to be. Instagram and Twitter erupted over pap snaps which showed Kravitz with her arms around Tatum, looking incredibly chic in a pair of jeans and black sunglasses.

Laughing In The Street

The pair are practically killing us at this point, snapped again sharing a belly full of laughs in the street. Also, Zoë in that blue dress is something else.

Upstate Retreat

Mere days ago, Page Six snapped the duo upstate, potentially on a romantic getaway. Paparazzi photos showed them leaving a grocery store with bags of food, toilet paper and a bouquet of flowers — which are pretty much steamy holiday essentials, no?

A Source Confirms

An unidentified source approached E! News, telling the publication that Kravitz and Tatum are “more than just close friends or co-stars,” and their relationship has “grown into more.”

Met Gala

While they didn’t pose together on the red carpet, the pair were seen leaving the MET Gala together (and apparently spotted kissing at the after party, per People).

Kravitz stunned in a see-through Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello slip gown, while Tatum looked dapper in a classic Atelier Versace tuxedo.

Holding Hands

In what is possibly the biggest confirmation we’ve had to date, the two were spotted holding hands while on a lunch date in NYC. Channing also wrapped his arm around Zoë’s shoulder as they strolled through the streets, per People.

A source also told People that the two are “more relaxed lately.” They don’t seem to care about hiding their relationship anymore. It’s obvious that they are very happy.”

Channing Is A “Feminist”

In an interview with ELLE, Zoë revealed whether she thought Channing would be “brave enough” to stay in her upcoming film, Pussy Island, as tech billionaire Slater King.

“Looking at his work and hearing him speak about Magic Mike and the live show, I’m like, I think he’s a feminist. You need to be so far from who this is, where it’s not scary,” Zoë told the publication.

“And I don’t think we’ve ever seen him play someone dark. I’m excited to see him do that.”

If anyone was wondering whether she and Channing were still an item—since the pair haven’t been flying under the radar for quite some time—Zoë confirms that she’s “happy” and doesn’t deny their relationship.

Steven Soderbergh, who directed Magic Mike, also spoke to the publication about their relationship, claiming that all bets would be off in their relationship.

“I’m assuming they’re going to have fun, but if you’re in any sort of a couple and you go into an endeavour like this, all bets are off.”
