Looking for a fall hair refresh? Ashlee Simpson’s new look puts an autumnal spin on eternally trendy pastel hair. Hairstylist Riawna Capri, who also has A-list celebs like Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez on her roster, calls the rose-gold shade “Pumpkin Pink.”

If you typically turn to colours with red tones, like rust or auburn, during cooler months, this might be the perfect way to shake up your routine. “Ashlee looks amazing in all shades of reds and coppers,” said Capri. “It’s no surprise that she looks absolutely incredible with this smokey shade of rose!”

To create the look, she mixed three shades from Joico’s Color Intensity line: rose gold, bronze and blush. The entire process took a total of 20 minutes. (Keep in mind, Ashlee’s light blonde hair was the ideal colour base for the job. Darker shades may have trouble reaching the same hue.)

The end result? Multi-dimensional colour that’s as seasonal as cozy knits and scented candles. Get ready to see a whole lot of pastel pumpkins on the ‘gram this fall.
