Turns out your Fit Bit may be able to do more than just measure your physical fitness: It could also be an important barometre for the state of your metaphorical heart too. 

There’s growing evidence to show that your Fit Bit—which measures your heart rate throughout the day—can also document the physical effects of emotional turmoil on your body. 

Take the Tel Aviv man who says his Fit Bit charted a huge spike in his heart rate during the minutes in which his boyfriend was breaking up with him…on the phone, BTW. 

Another man claims on Reddit that he actually saw demonstrable evidence that breaking up with his girlfriend was good for him—his heart rate decreased after ward. There was one spike though: When she came back to pick up her stuff.
