Animal print, cutouts and Y2K silhouettes were dominating the festival grounds.

After spending two years in isolation, being able to step into the sunshine, listen to live music and wear a fun outfit is what we’ve been dreaming about. Thanks to Pandora*, we were able to head to weekend 1 of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival to experience our first festival in all its glory. While we got to witness some of the incredible acts at Coachella (Yes, we’re still thinking about Harry Styles and Canada’s own Shania Twain), festivals are a breeding ground for bold, unique and colourful fits—and after two years of being cooped up inside, festival goers were ready to show up.
From cutouts (made popular by Euphoria’s Maddy Perez) to crystal-inspired pieces (why own a disco ball when you can wear one?) to Y2K styles (we love a good tube top)—festival wear is back—and we’re not complaining. In tandem with the festival, we had a chance to visit the Pandora Oasis, a bubblegum pink nostalgic experience, where influencers, up-and-coming musical talent and familiar faces like Charli XCX—who works with the brand on their Pandora ME collection—were sporting trends like these. To narrow it down, we’ve found five trends we saw out and about at Coachella that we predict will be all the rage this festival season.
Cut-Outs

Thanks to Maddy Perez, Alexa Demie’s character on Euphoria, cutouts have slowly made their way into our closets. Whether you sport a chic cutout top or bralette or opt for the classic cut-out pants, showing some skin is a must at any music festival where you’re going to be out in the sun all day. Pair your cut-out garment with a plain top or bottom to balance it out, or do a two-piece set to stay consistent.
Crystals

Become a disco ball and wear a crystal-embellished piece this festival season. While they might seem complicated to get into (we’re looking at you crystal-embellished bra), once they’re on—you’re a glistening angel. Other iterations of the style are more classic (and easier to put on) coming in fun, summer-y iridescent colours that will shine when the sun hits them.
The Colour Green

In case you missed it, green is the colour of the season. We’re talking lime green, kelly green, forest green—all of it. There are so many different ways to style this colour, depending on what you prefer—style green pants with a plain tee (or vice versa) or sport a chic green dress to simplify your outfit.
Animal Print

It’s true: Animal print never goes out of style. Whether it’s leopard print, cheetah print, or zebra print, wearing these patterns out and about is always a hit with any outfit. Plus, it’s Charli XCX-approved.
Y2K

The resurgence of Y2K style has been on the rise for the past couple of years, and it hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down. Dainty tank tops with fun decals and two-piece sets were easy to find on the festival grounds, paired with colourful accessories like rings and hair clips. Channel your inner Lizzie McGuire and pay homage to the early aughts.
