Weeks after Fendi broke the internet with their Versace collaboration, the Italian fashion house has unveiled another fashion mash-up, this time with Kim Kardashian West’s solution-wear brand SKIMS.

The unlikely pairing is joining forces for an intriguing collection, and here is everything we know about it so far.

Featuring a new hybrid logo, the collaboration houses all the shapewear we know and love from SKIMS, with a side of hosiery and other form-fitting pieces.

Excitingly, the drop also appears to include some of Fendi’s iconic bags (namely the Baguette Chain and Sunshine Shopper), new heels and a collection of leather wiggle dresses in SKIMS’ inclusive nude colour range.

‘The innovation in fabrics and fit typical to SKIMS paired with the luxury and quality of Fendi may feel unexpected to some people, but the similarities between our creative vision and goals are so closely aligned,’ notes Kardashian West.

“It’s that tension that excites me.”

Will the Fendi X SKIMS collaboration be size inclusive?

It looks like this new collection is is honouring SKIMS’ long-held commitment to size-inclusivity.

While exact sizes have not been released yet, promotional imagery shows plus-size models in the pieces.

“My Fendi is about creating something for every woman, every different shape – and that’s something at the heart of SKIMS too,” explains Kim Jones, Artistic Director of Fendi Womenswear and Couture.

“Kim Kardashian West is doing a lot to celebrate inclusivity-including her admirable work with social justice in America- and as a hard-working woman with a family, she is constantly striving to do her best. These values are something to celebrate.”

How much are the pieces in the Fendi X SKIMS collaboration?

Prices for the collection have not been released, though we are expecting prices to range between the usual SKIMS and Fendi costs.

What do Kim Jones and Kim Kardashian have to say about the Fendi X SKIMS collaboration?

Kardashian took to her Instagram stories after the announcement to share a behind-the-scenes look at the collection.

“I can’t wait for you to feel these fabrics’, the mogul shared, ‘so much of it is reversible”.

According to the official press release, it appears Jones’ friends’ anticipation of a SKIMS collection is what catalyzed the concept for the fashion house leader.

“The idea for the collaboration came about when my team and I were sitting around a table at the studio in Rome,” explains Jones.

“Suddenly, all the women went silent and started looking at their phones. I didn’t know what was going on, but they were waiting for the launch of the new SKIMS collection. It was then that I thought: let’s do something together.”
