Kate Middleton’s hairdresser revealed, Leighton Meester hates being called a fashion “icon” status and Victoria Beckham wants to name her new daughter Santa.
James Pryce is to style Kate Middleton’s hair at her wedding to Britain’s Prince William later this month.
Kate Middleton‘s wedding hair will be styled by London-based hairdresser
James Pryce. The 33-year-old stylist works for the
Richard Ward salon in Chelsea and he will work on her brunette locks on the morning of her wedding to Prince William on April 29. His boss Richard will style the hair of both Kate’s mother Carole and sister Pippa, who is the maid of honor. It is expected James – who currently charges $85 for a styling session – will be able to charge higher prices as a result of the job. A source said: "After the wedding, I expect it will be extremely difficult to get an appointment with James – and that his prices will go up." However he will be helped by a team of "dressers" on the morning of the wedding, with preparation taking place at the Goring Hotel in Belgravia close to Buckingham Palace. Although it is not known who will be dressing the bride at her wedding, it is thought British designer
Alice Temperley will create the outfits for her bridesmaids, with Pippa seen at her West London studio for three hours earlier this month.
Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester has admitted while she loves fashion she doesn’t want people to call her an icon.
Gossip Girl star thinks her personal style has been influenced by both her move to New York and her time on the show, she wishes people weren’t so interested in what she wears because she only dresses to please herself. She said: "
Gossip Girl has absolutely changed my style. And living in New York I’ve become more brave and aware of fashion. I completely close my eyes to it when people call me a fashion icon because it’s an opinion from people that I don’t know. I wear what I like." While most actresses feel pressure to stay in shape, Leighton, 25, says working out keeps her fit but admitted she doesn’t care about her weight and happily tucked into ribs every day while shooting her latest film
Country Strong. She told Britain’s
OK! magazine: "I do a lot of working so that’s a lot of working out for me in my life. I don’t feel any pressure to be a particular shape. During the filming of
Country Strong I felt totally free to eat some ribs!"
