Singer and queen of rap Nicki Minaj is releasing her own collection of sneakers with British apparel brand LØCI.

The star is known for her sexy outlandish style, often paired with colourful hairdos so it stands to reason that if she was going to design something as straightforward as a sneaker, it would need to have a little flair.

The 11 styles imagined by Minaj will be released on Friday, April 12 and will retail between $195 and $200 USD online and in store.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to join the LØCI family as an owner,” Minaj said in a press release. “Their mission resonates with mine. Sneakers have undeniably played a transformative role in shaping my unique style, allowing me to boldly express my true self. I wanted to ensure that the culture I grew up with, one of never giving up, was mirrored in my collection. I’ll never put out a single pair that I don’t wear. My fans know that about me. It’ll always be ‘Nicki Approved’.”

Ben Affleck and Olivia Wilde are also said to be celebrity fans of LØCI’s and Leonardo DiCaprio reportedly invested in the brand last year.
