Canadian fashion personalities round up: Summer must-haves
Canadian fashion personalities have a way of making us look forward to summer – something about the way they make everything brighter, more colourful, and inspire us to do the same. So naturally we wanted to know their summer style secrets. We polled a few of our favourite Canadian fashion personalities -writers, designers, and the overall awesome and stylishly creative – for their
top summer must-haves. Here’s what they told us:

“Every summer I head to the sea! I love the sun, salt and surf. I pack very lightly as I tend to move up and down the Atlantic coast. My summer essentials include the perfect silky slip dress from Horses Atelier (I bought two!), A Christopher Kane sweatshirt for those cool nights and my Huile Prodigieuse by NUXE Paris, an absolute favourite product of mine. You can use it on your hair, face and body, perfect for all day at the beach and
an evening glow.”

"My summer must-have is time to play on the beach. I recently did a beach-bootcamp workout and I’m now addicted to the idea of working out in my bare feet."

"It may sound cliché, but my favourite summer must-have is my Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses. I love shopping, but for me
finding the perfect pair of sunglasses is a next to impossible task. Not too long ago I picked up these simple aviator-style Dolce & Gabbana sunnies. Finally a pair that I actually loved! Of course, I lost them in no time. So I went back and bought another pair… and then a back-up pair."

"My ultimate summer must-have is without a doubt
a maxi dress! It’s so versatile and comfortable, I always bring at least two or three different styles with me when I go on vacation. I love that you can dress it up with chic strappy sandals for a nice dinner at a restaurant or dress it down with flip flops or cute flat sandals for a day at the beach. The fabric doesn’t wrinkle and is easy to care for, so don’t panic if you spill sunscreen on it or if you wear over a wet swimsuit. Bonus point for the faux wrap on this dress that makes you look more slender by accentuating the smallest part of your body (waistline)."

"With summer just around the corner, I am beyond excited for two essential summer must-haves: 1) Camping at Bon Echo Provincial Park — one of the most breathtaking hot spots in Ontario for girls looking to get reacquainted with the wild, 2) Super
bright nail colours that you can only get away with on your toes in summer while wearing your new Chanel sandals and pretty summer dress."

"As soon as the temperature rises, I reach for a flirty summer print. I love mixing and matching them with other prints in my closet to create new looks that I haven’t tried yet."

"The Oriane Shirt Dress is the perfect go-to summer dress. This dress strikes the perfect balance between structure and fluidity.”
