Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex, have been keeping a relatively low profile since stepping down as senior members of the Royal family and relocating to California.  Now, for their son, Archie’s first birthday on May 6, the couple have released an adorable new video of Markle and Archie reading in support of Save With Stories in the U.S. and Save The Children U.K.

The video, in which Markle reads children’s book “Duck! Rabbit!” to Archie while Prince Harry films, was shared directly by the organization’s on their Instagram pages. (The Sussexes stopped using their official Instagram, @sussexroyal, when they left the royal family.) “Thirty million children rely on school for food,” reads the caption on the video. “Responding to the needs of kids during these school closures @savethechildren and @nokidhungry have a new fund @savewithstories to support food banks, and mobile meal trucks, and community feeding programs with funds to do what they do best—and also—with educational toys, books, and worksheets to make sure brains are full, as well as bellies.”

Archie made his first official royal appearance when his parent’s toured South Africa last September. Prior to this video, the last we had seen of Archie was a cameo in the family Christmas card and a photo with Prince Harry released to mark the new year at the end of 2019.

Today’s video comes shortly after the announcement that a new tell-all book about Markle and Prince Harry will be published this summer.

“The aim of this book is to portray the real Harry and Meghan, a couple who continue to inspire many around the world through their humanitarian and charitable work but are often inaccurately portrayed,” the authors wrote in a press release.

“Our mission has been motivated by a desire to tell an accurate version of their journey and finally present the truth of misreported stories that have become gospel simply because of the amount of times they have been repeated. It is thanks to our sources that we have been able to share the definitive story of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”
