When Instagram announced that it would be introducing live streaming, and the option to send private photos that would disappear, our thoughts were along the lines of: Oh cool, Instagram is now one step closer to becoming a Facebook-Snapchat-Insta hybrid.
But then rumours started to circulate that along with these new features, Instagram would begin to send users notifications if someone took a screenshot of their photo.
It’s safe to say that said users were not too happy about this. But fear not – it’s been clarified that the new notification feature will only apply to those disappearing private photos, not Insta stories or regular old Insta photos.
Thanks Instagram, for leaving us all to creep in peace.
