When founder and CEO Lisa Mattam established the skincare brand Sahajan in 2015, she sought to fuse the power of Ayurveda—an ancient science that takes a holistic approach to healing with strong ties to her South Indian Heritage— with clinical science to put forth clean and effective skincare offerings.

Since finding that sweet spot between science and tradition, Sahajan has entered global partnerships with leading luxury hotels like The St. Regis and The Ritz, where the products have lived as the exclusive skincare line in guest’s suites.

And, nearly a decade after its 2015 debut, Sahajan has found a new home at Sephora Canada, where it becomes the retailer’s inaugural Ayurvedic skincare brand.

“This partnership marks a major milestone in our journey, propelling us forward in our mission to bring Ayurvedic wisdom to the beauty world,” shares Mattam in a press statement. “Since debuting in 2015, we’ve proudly led the way as pioneers of Ayurvedic beauty and remain steadfast to empowering Canadians to embrace holistic skincare backed by science.”
