Your new fave SPF
We’ll spare you yet another reminder that you should be wearing SPF everyday in favour of obsessing over the latest launch from Supergoop! You’re probably already familiar with some of the brand’s cult-fave SPFs, like the clear, lightweight Unseen Sunscreen. Now, that product’s counterpart—Mineral Sheerscreen SPF 30—has arrived in Canada for the first time. Like its name suggests, the sunscreen is a mineral formula, made with non-nano zinc oxide to provide UVA, UVB and blue-light protection. While the SPF isn’t translucent, it does finish sheer, while added squalane and aloe-leaf juice work to moisturize.

Next level hair care
Dyeing your hair is all fun and games until your sensitized strands become difficult to treat. Enter Kérastase’s newest line, Chroma Absolu. The range of nine products (two are salon-only) was designed specifically for colour-treated hair and relies on ingredients like antioxidant-rich centella acid, strengthening amino acids and exfoliating lactic acid to soothe, nourish and boost shine and pigment. The goal? To target any damage (think frizz, breakage, dryness and more) from the core to the surface of your hair. Choose between two shampoos and four treatments (including an anti-porosity conditioner and neutralizing mask) to customize a care regimen that addresses your specific needs.

A seamless foundation
Ilia wants your skin to look like, well, skin. That’s why the new True Skin Serum Foundation offers weightless, medium coverage with a natural, blendable finish that’s available in an expanded selection of 30 different shades. Potent actives like refining niacinamide and soothing allantoin also work to treat skin, making for a foundation that truly works for you.

For effortless lashes
It can be hard to find a mascara that works for you. Not anymore with Milk Makeup’s Rise Lifting + Lengthening Mascara. Made with a 93 percent natural formula containing a blend of four vegan waxes, strengthening marigold extract and nourishing monoi oil, it instantly lifts, curls, lengthens and volumizes all lash types—with no clumping or smudging, either.

A powerful new vitamin C serum
Kakadu plums contain 100 times more vitamin C than oranges, which is exactly why Ren Skincare formulated its new glow-boosting product with the Australian superfruit. Additionally, the Glow & Protect Serum contains omega 5-rich pomegranate and mineral-packed dragon fruit to smooth and even skin tone, protect against free radicals, reduce signs of photo-aging and impart a radiant complexion.

A natural highlight
Want the stunning glow of a highlighter without overdoing it? Enter Burt’s Bees The Luminizer Nourishing Highlighter. Available in two shades—a rose-gold Star Light and a sun-kissed Golden Hour—the lightweight formula contains antioxidant-rich green tea extract to even out skin tone and leave behind a healthy glow while leaving behind a non-sticky dewy finish for a subtle, added touch. Wear on its own, or mixed with moisturizer or foundation for all-over brightness.
Price: $17
A revamped staple
It’s never a bad time to expand a shade range. Make Up For Ever’s new HD Skin Foundation is a revamped version of its popular Ultra HD Foundation, a liquid and comfortable medium-coverage formula that’s both water- and sweat-proof. The semi-matte foundation is now available in 40 shades, and also promises 24 hours worth of wear.
Price: $55
For natural radiance
For its first vitamin C serum, natural beauty brand Herbivore isn’t messing around. Nova contains the potent yet stable THD vitamin C 15 percent, which targets pigmentation, turmeric (to even skin tone) and naturally-derived arbutin to tighten the appearance of pores. It will quickly revive dull winter skin, but you won’t be able to resist it year-round.
Price: $84
For the brightest glow
Nars won over legions of beauty lovers with the launch of its instantly-viral Light Reflecting Foundation last month. The next step for the brand? A sister skincare line, NarsSkin Light Reflecting Skincare Collection. Like the foundation, many of the new products are formulated with the brand’s light-reflecting complex, resulting in an effortless, radiant glow. The range includes the Light Reflecting Moisturizer ($85), a light gel-cream that provides up to 60 hours of hydration; the Light Reflecting Eye & Lash Gel ($78), which moisturizes and smooths the eye area; the Light Reflecting Multi-Action Treatment ($49), a super functional lotion that hydrates, softens, brightens and removes dead skin; the Light Reflecting Serum ($106), which contains gold-fortified peptides and red snow extract to strengthen and firm skin; and the Light Reflecting Restorative Night Treatment ($110), an ultra-moisturizing, barrier-strengthening gel-to-oil night cream.

The perfect double cleanse
Trinny Woodall is best known for hosting the iconic British series What Not to Wear, her covetable style and, most recently, her hugely popular line of versatile makeup products Trinny London. Now, the brand is expanding into skincare, starting off with two brand-new (and refillable!) cleansers. The Be Your Best Enzyme Balm Cleanser ($55) is an oil-based balm that effectively removes makeup, SPF and grime, while pineapple enzymes brighten skin and prebiotics support the natural microbiome. Meanwhile, the Better Off AHA/PHA Gel Cleanser ($48) gently exfoliates thanks to lactobionic, lactic and malic acids. Double cleansing has never been easier.

An inspired skin-booster
As a teen, U Beauty founder Tina Craig spent a lot of her time laying out under the California sun. While visiting family in Asia, she realized the damage she was doing when her grandmother took her to a Chinese acupuncturist. Once there, her face was slathered in the slime of immortal jellyfish, a sea creature that can convert its adult cells back into stem cells—which sounded a bit odd, but ended with Craig getting a lot of compliments on her skin. For her brand’s latest product, the Barrier Bioactive Treatment, Craig wanted something that created similar results, minus the jellyfish. Four years in the making, the thick cream harnesses bioactive marine ingredients to soothe dull and dry skin, while bolstering the skin barrier. Apply it as the last step in your nighttime routine a few times a week for a revitalized complexion.

An acne-fighting body wash
Beauty editor-backed brand Starface is already beloved for their delightful, attention-grabbing (in a good way) acne patches. Now, with its newest product, it’s targeting body acne. The Outer Space Foaming Body Cleanser aims to cleanse and refresh acne-prone skin all over thanks to ingredients like cica and willow bark extract, which soothe and hydrate compromised skin, an exfoliating blend of AHAs like glycolic and lactic acid, and inflammation-reducing green-tea extract. It effectively washes away bacteria, brightens and enriches skin with antioxidants, all in a fun, citrus-y lather.
Price: $22
A fragrance for all seasons
Confidence. Boldness. Pleasure. That’s what IG-favourite fragrance expert Funmi Monet and Canadian brand Bella Aura want to evoke with their new, limited-edition eau de parfum Exalté. Designed in collaboration with expert perfumers from France, the irreverent scent starts with top notes of bright lemon and pink pepper, before setting into heart notes of Turkish rose (an all-time fave of Monet’s), jasmine, orange blossom and osmanthus. Warm vanilla, sandalwood, musk and amber cap it all off with a touch of sweetness. Get it while you can.
Price: $270
A feel-good sheet mask
We all know that sheet masks are bad for the environment, but they can be hard to resist. What if you could get the same experience without the waste? Now you can with Province Apothecary’s brand-new Reusable Silicone Sheet Mask Set for Face and Eyes. Layer on your fave serums or balms, then lock them in by laying the mask on your face, securing it with the ear loops. Rinse with warm water and a gentle soap when you’re done, and it’s ready to be worn again.
Price: $36
To revive sleepy eyes
Say goodbye to tired eyes thanks to Empyri’s new Hemp Eye Cream. The science-backed brand is built on infusing cannabis sativa root into its products to take advantage of its healing properties, and this is no different. Hemp seed oil hydrates, while a group of patented polypeptides work together to target wrinkles, dark circles and puffiness. And it doesn’t stop there: additional green-tea and apple stem-cell extracts protect against damage from free radicals for a healthy-looking eye area.
Price: $58
An ultra-luxe day cream
Use the words “universal moisturizer,” and we’re automatically listening. In this case, the phrase is referring to Omorovicza’s Cushioning Day Cream, a lightweight, plumping and skin-firming moisturizer that is ideal for all skin types. Combining collagen-boosting marine plankton extracts and the brand’s patented Healing Concentrate, the cream smooths fine lines and wrinkles while microalgae also reinforces the skin’s barrier to shield it from external stressors. Get ready for bouncy, cushion-like skin.
Price: $298
A new-and-improved favourite
SheaMoisture’s Raw Shea Butter collection was already iconic for its super hydrating benefits. Now, it’s even better. Newly reformulated, the line—which includes a shampoo, conditioner and detangler—offers 92 percent more moisture than before. The revamp also comes with a brand-new product: the Raw Shea Butter Deep Moisturizing Leave-in Conditioner to smooth, soften and reduce frizz.
Price: from $12
An indulgent facial oil
A good face oil will form a strong seal on your skin, locking in moisture (not to mention any other products you’ve already layered on) and strengthening the barrier. Charlotte Tilbury’s Collagen Superfusion Facial Oil does that and more, thanks to a vitamin-rich base that’s infused with collagen to plump, hydrate and soothe the skin all at once. It’s the perfect last step in your routine.
Price: $100
A fuss-free hand cream
When Canadian Dr. Bimpe Ayeni realized her husband, Ade Ajayi, couldn’t find any products that actually worked for him, she called up a pharmacist friend to figure out what they could do. Eventually, the couple found a combination that worked and were inspired to launch their brand Blair + Jack, which is named after their twins. Their newest product is the Hydrating Hand Cream, a fuss-free, non-greasy blend of aloe, jojoba and macadamia seed oil that will leave your skin soft and smooth.
Price: $9
A new hair gadget
Shark is known for its powerful vacuums, and now its channelling that technology into the HyperAir hair dryer. Available with an array of styling attachments, the tool uses IQ technology to combine high-velocity heated air and ionized air to dry hair quickly and without damage. It also works to smooth and boost shine while reducing frizz, and offers two modes: one for a speedy, all-over dry and one for more precise styling.
