It also contains wild rose, which minimizes excess sebum and oil minus the stripping of your skin. Plus, niacinamide and Japanese mugwort even out your skin tone and cut down redness and the appearance of pores. It’s something you’ll want to make room in your routine for.

The leave-in scalp treatment is made with Redensyl, a potent patented blend that encourages hair growth, nourishing, antioxidant-rich sea buckthorn (a staple for the brand) and hydrolyzed vegetable protein to thicken and volumize strands. Just spritz, massage into your roots and you’re good to go.

A cup of coffee for your eyes
Say goodbye to puffy, tired-looking eyes in the morning. It also minimizes puffiness and wrinkles. You’ll be looking refreshed and well-rested in no time—though a good night worth of sleep is not included.

Your new go-to foundation
Sometimes, in rare moments, you put on a foundation that feels and looks so good on your skin, you can’t believe you’ve gone this long without it. Already a TikTok fave, the new Nars Light Reflecting Foundation, which is available in 36 shades, is one of those products. The medium-coverage formula is made with tried and true skincare ingredients, like redness-reducing biomimetic oat and protective cacao peptides, to nourish and strengthen skin while also blurring and concealing imperfections, texture and blemishes. Buildable and natural-looking, it also contains a “photo-friendly” powder and a light-reflecting complex that creates a luminous complexion while adjusting to whatever light you’re in. Get ready for your closeup.

For winter-proof lips
Many Canadians spent the month of January in frigid cold temperatures and surround by mounds of snow, and we’re really feeling it. Get rid of chapped lips with Ilia’s Beauty Lip Wrap Reviving Balm, a fast-acting, ultra-hydrating lip balm. Also plumping and strengthening, it glides on clear with a slight shine. The balm also feels quite luxe: it’s subtly scented with calming lavender and chamomile, while the ceramic applicator is cool to the touch and will keep you coming back to it.

The most covetable mascara
Achieving full, high-volume lashes will be a breeze with Revlon’s So Fierce! Eyes Wide Open Mascara. Flake-free and smudge-resistant, the mascara delivers lightweight lift that lasts up to 24 hours, while added cannabis sativa hemp seed oil conditions. It’s also available in three shades and in non-waterproof and waterproof formulas.

A super functional serum
Hyaluronic acid, C + niacinamide (a vitamin C derivative combined with the barrier strengthener) and ferulic acid are all popular skincare ingredients. Now, you can get all three in one potent product thanks to Lancôme’s Rénergie H.C.F. Triple Serum. Each active ingredient is kept in separate chambers of the bottle (protecting them from mixing, air, light and impurities) to maintain their effectiveness. When pumped, the three come together in a creamy gel to target dark spots, fine lines, wrinkles and loss of firmness. Skincare avengers, assemble.
Price: $165
An instant classic
Charlotte Tilbury’s Beautiful Skin Foundation may have just launched, but we already know it’s going to be a long-time fave. Available in 30 shades, the celeb-approved brand spent three years working on the medium-coverage formula to develop a foundation that will not only conceal but also impart a healthy glow—without looking cakey. It performs as promised, instantly, thanks to ingredients like hyaluronic acid, damask rose water and coconut extract. Time to get your glow on.

A multitasking eye cream
Let’s be real: there’s never just one concern you’re hoping to address around your eyes. That’s why Instagrammable brand Summer Fridays new Vitamin C + Peptide Eye Cream Light Aura combines the two powerful ingredients to brighten, moisturize, de-puff, soothe and support collagen production in the sensitive area. It leaves eyes perfectly primed for makeup, too.

Seeking a cleanser that washes away impurities, exfoliates, brightens skin and hydrates all at once. Who wouldn’t, right? Enter Goop’s Goopglow Cloudberry Exfoliating Cleanser, that uses fruit enzymes to do just that and more, while being gentle enough for everyday use. It’s also the brand’s first-ever cleanser, and we couldn’t think of a better place to start.

For a DIY spa night
No at-home spa night is complete without a good mask. Why not try bareMinerals’ new Ageless Phyto-AHA Radiance Facial? Made with a plant-based Phyto-AHA—which the brand says is less irritating but just as effective as traditional AHAs—the three-in-one product works as a peel, exfoliator and mask to smooth texture, even skin tone and minimize the look of pores. Pull up Netflix and leave the jelly-like formula on for 20 minutes.

To rehaul your hair regimen
We all have different hair types, lifestyles and needs, which is what makes the concept behind Prose. New to Canada, the brand prompts you to fill out a questionnaire upon first clicking onto its site, asking you about your hair care concerns, wishes and how much time and effort you really want to put into your routine. From there, a custom line of products—from shampoos, to masks, to hair oil—is formulated specifically based on your responses. Choose which made-to-order items you want, and reap the rewards.

Chanel, reconsidered
To start off 2022, Chanel is turning over a new leaf. The brand launched No. 1 de Chanel this month, a range of eco-conscious skincare and makeup that’s been in development for a decade. All the products—which include a cleanser, eye cream, cheek and lip balm, serum, fragrance mist and more—are made with up to 97 percent natural ingredients, but the star is the revitalizing and nourishing red camellia flower. Packaging is more sustainable, too: materials have been streamlined, 80 percent of it is made from recyclable glass and the cream jar is refillable.
