Lena Dunham just made a major hair commitment. The actress (and writer, producer, director, activist, etc.) chopped off nearly ten inches of hair, leaving her with a seriously cropped cut. She dubbed the look, “Your mom’s therapist friend she leaves your dad for.”

Dunham’s hair was not long enough to donate to Locks of Love (you need a ponytail length of at least 10 inches for that), but she encouraged her Instagram followers to donate to the non-profit, which makes wigs for children with medical conditions that cause them to lose their hair, if they were able.
