Take a cue from the Chloé spring 2010 runway and play with different denim washes from dark, saturated mixes to lighter-hued shades. Or, opt for a harmonized denim look from head-to-toe à la Ralph Lauren.
Compliment the trend with neutrals, like the quintessential boyfriend blazer, classic leopard-print booties or a caramel-coloured belt, which is a flattering accent to the denim wash.
Mix masculine elements with womanly silhouettes. Hèrmes denim peacoat looks ultra-feminine when paired with a billowy, sheer blouse and short-shorts. Think about the details: Vintage lace camisoles with baggy, boyfriend jeans; a floral skirt balances a cropped denim bomber and the season’s must-have platform heels add a flirty kick to a pair of ordinary coveralls.
