October marks the beginning of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This worldwide campaign is dedicated to the research, prevention and awareness of breast cancer – a deadly disease that touches the lives of countless women and is diagnosed every 15 seconds. Each year, fashion, beauty and lifestyle brands partner up with charities to raise funds for the cause. Ahead, the collections you can shop to support the initiative.
Pink-Hued Jewelry
This year, David Yurman has released three new designs, including the Renaissance Cable Bracelet – avaliable in aluminum and pink acrylic – in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. During the month of October, the brand will donate 20% of the proceeds from this collection to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. In addition to his David Yurman’s signature Cable Bracelet will be available in a special pink rubber edition for $25, and 100% of purchases will go directly to the foundation.
A Wool Blazer
In collaboration with Rethink Breast Cancer, made-in-Canada label Smythe has released their top-selling Dutch blazer in a limited-edition pink shade. For every blazer sold, $50 will go toward the organization.
A Beauty Box
For the month of October, beauty retailer Hali has created three custom beauty baskets, including a pink-themed haircare set, a personal care set and a jumbo-sized self-care yet. Hali will donate 10% of proceeds from each beauty basket to Rethink Breast Cancer.
A Rose-Coloured Collection
Canadian designer Ellie Mae has partnered with Rethink Breast Cancer to create a limited-edition collection for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 15% of sale proceeds from the collection – including the linen-blend Susan Scrunchie ($20), hoodies, bralettes and more – will go towards the charity.
A Sleek Candle
This handcrafted candle from Toronto-based Lohn is made with an organic coconut and soy wax blend and has a delightful woody-citrusy scent. Lohn will donate 50% of the proceeds from the Rise Candle ($40) to Rethink Breast Cancer.
Athletic Gear and Lifestyle Apparel
Peloton will donate 20% of the proceeds (up to $25,000) from its Stronger Capsule Collection – which includes ultra-soft and supportive loungewear designed in collaboration with Beyond Yoga, workout gear and accessories – towards the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
A Gentle Hair Brush
Manta was created after hairdresser Tim Binnington’s wife experienced hair loss from breast cancer treatment, needing something gentle on the scalp as her hair grew back. Now, in support of the cause, Manta Canada will donate 15% of proceeds from the Pink Manta Brush ($42) to Rethink Breast Cancer.
Crystal-Encrusted Pumps
This month, for each pair of Roger Vivier Pink Flower Strass Pumps ($1750) sold, 10% of proceeds will go towards the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
A Classic Fragrance
Together with The Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign, Jo Malone London will donate 50% of sales of the Peony & Blush Suede Cologne (100 mL for $186) to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation from October 1st to June 30th 2021, or until supplies last. In addition to this, Jo Malone London will also donate $100,000 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
Comfy Bras
From October 1-17th, H&M will donate 10% of all bra sales to Rethink Breast Cancer. In-store, donations up to $10,000 will be matched by the brand.
A Frizz-Fighting Hair Primer
From September 1st to June 6th 2021 (or until supplies last), Bumble and Bumble will donate 20% of sales proceeds from the Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Heat/UV Protective Primer ($32) to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in support of The Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign.
A Cult Favourite Serum
In honour of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, from September 1st to June 6th 2021 Estée Lauder will donate 20% sales proceeds from the special-edition hot pink Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Multi-Recovery Complex ($130) to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
A Capsule Collection
Toronto jewellery brand Biko has designed an exclusive limited-edition Rose Gold Collection (starting at $68). The brand will donate 20% of each piece sold from the collection – including the J’Adore Pearl Drops ($95), pictured above – to Rethink Breast Cancer.
Fresh Brows
50% of the proceeds on all of B.Beautiful’s High Definition Brow services will be donated to Rethink Breast Cancer throughout February and October .
Chic Lingerie
From October 8-20, luxury lingerie brand Fleur du Mal will be donating 10% of sales from their pink capsule edit to Living Beyond Breast Cancer.
A Sweet-Smelling Hand Cream
For the entire month of October, 100% of all in-store sales proceeds from the Fruits & Passion Alo Pink Apple Hand Cream ($4.50) will go toward breast cancer awareness programs across Canada.
A Statement For Your Skin
Temporary tattoo brand Inked by Dani will donate 100% of sales proceeds from the Think Pink Tattoo ($1.75) – one of the many charitable tattoos available for purchase – towards breast cancer research.
Breathable Face Masks
Burlington-based athleisure brand Olive + Splash will donate their signature bamboo face masks back to Rethink Breast Cancer with every purchase of their 3-piece Pink Pack ($54.99).
