Instagram’s newest feature, which begins its testing phase next week, will allow users to shop items directly from their Instagram feed. Each shopping post will have a tap to view icon, which can highlight up to 5 tagged, shoppable items. If selected, products come with details and pricing, and the option to go straight to the brand’s website to buy the item. Currently, the only place to feature a web link on Instagram is in the profile bio. Kate Spade is among 20 US-based brands that will put the feature to the test.
