It’s fall, that time of year when my skin and hair start to get dry again, which means I’m on the hunt for new beauty products to help me prepare for the impending Canadian winter. Luckily, we’re unveiling the results of our annual Beauty Grand Prix awards this issue to help you navigate the insane amount of products on the market. More than 300 items were blind-tested by our 500-person jury, and we share which ones they rated the highest—which should save you some time and money.

When it comes to buying beauty products, the options can be overwhelming. Online-search results are full of Google ads and manipulated by algorithms, and my favourite influencers are paid to pretend that this mascara doesn’t run or that shampoo makes hair super silky. Real, honest, unbiased opinions are rare these days, which makes it all the more important that the products that end up in the Beauty Grand Prix ranking are actually tested, approved and loved by you, our readers.
