Switch up your platform. “If you’re always on Spotify, try Bandcamp or SoundCloud. There will be some crossover between platforms but all platforms have different algorithms and artists release music differently.”
Do your research. “If I hear something I like, I’m automatically Shazaming it. I’ll look up the artist and the label. Usually, if you like an artists, you’re more than likely going to like other artists from the same label. It’s a good way to discover new music.”
Listen alone if poss. “When you listen to music in a group of people their reactions always influence how you feel about it. You need to be in a quiet place—that’s when you find out if you really love a song.”
