Gigi Hadid took on a body shamer (one of many, ugh the internet) today on Instagram, and well…the troll didn’t stand a chance.
Gigi—who’s been criticised for slimming down recently—had this to say to a hater who decided it was okay to comment on her body:
“Bodies change as girls become women, just as my mom’s body changed at the same age. … I loved my body as a 17 year old athlete and I love my body now. Yes, I’ve lost some ‘baby fat’, but muscle mass from my intensive volleyball training in high school has changed over the years in lean muscle from boxing, and work stress can have its [sic] affect, but changing my body has never been my thing”
She went on to say that she still eats what she wants, and is still strong and healthy.
“Your comment won’t get me down,” she concludes. “But next time please think of the young women who may read body judgement comments and and judge themselves as they see their bodies growing and naturally, changing.”
