Glossier Announces New Acne Product
It's a stick for zits.
Glossier is fully committing to their “skin first” motto, announcing their second skincare product targeted at clearing blemishes. Zit Stick, available tomorrow, is a combo of 5% benzoyl peroxide, capryloyl salicylic acid (a BHA—beta hydroxy acid—that has gentle exfoliating properties) and a host of other calming ingredients like glycerin and niacinamide, packaged in a wand that could be mistaken for a Tide To Go pen.
The stainless-steel rollerball tip is anti-microbial, so you can apply the product directly to blemishes. The brand says it can be used under or over makeup.
Glossier Zit Stick ($17), available September 6 at glossier.com.
In a trial, Glossier reports 83% of subjects saw a reduction in pimple size after three hours. In 24 hours, subjects said half of their pimples were “erased.”
We haven’t gotten our hands on the product yet, but will report back when we do.
