Oscars 2014: Olivia Wilde’s striking cat eye owned the red carpet
Olivia laid her liner on extra thick at the 2014 Academy Awards last night.
I didn’t expect to love Olivia Wilde‘s look quite as much as I did at the Oscars last night. Highlighting her vivid, cat-like eyes is a given, but the thickness of this liner felt especially striking. Wilde’s makeup artist Melanie Inglessis paired it with a peach lip, which felt a little fresher than you-know-it’s-coming nude. Inglessis combined Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm in Complex ($10) with Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Pink Cognito ($9.50). #downwithlipgloss
As for that French-inspired cat eye, a combination of Revlon ColorStay Eyeliner in Black ($10) (above) and Revlon ColorStay Liquid Liner in Blackest Black ($10) was layered over the Revlon Brand Ambassador’s green eyes. The rest of the look was well-balanced, with slightly dewy skin, killer contouring (which didn’t enter Kardashian territory, thankfully) and delicately-filled in eyebrows.
