Products: Some models, about 5 or 6, had their brows bleached and wore no makeup. Others had NARS Larger Than Life Eyeliner in Via Veneto applied to the top and bottom waterline, that was then diffused out with a clean brush. "They wanted a worn-in feel to the makeup," Kendal told us backstage, like the look of someone who has been up all night partying and has not yet been to bed.
Show: Creatures of the Wind
The Look: Masculine beauty.
Products: The brow was extended and made slightly more round. "The shape is a modern take on Marlene Dietrich's signature look," says makeup artist Mark Carrasquillo. Eye pencil leaves a slight shine, so NARS Bali and Coconut Grove Eyeshadows were used instead for a matte look. "I want to bring the penciled-on eyebrow to 2017," says Carrasquillo. On the lips, balm was applied then removed before models hit the runway.
Show: Victoria Beckham
The Look: "Sophisticated, smart, intellectual but cool," makeup artist Pat McGrath told us backstage. "[It's] a bit rebellious, like all of us."
Products: "We've created a beautiful texture on the skin using a little moisturizer, and highlighter on the cheekbones and bridge of nose. [We added] a tiny, tiny touch of pink lipstick for a little enhancement. A cool grey shadow [soon to be released from Victoria Beckham's Estee Lauder line] put on with the fingertips to turn into a little bit of an eyeliner. The shape is pulled out, but it's a not cat eye, it's a little bit cooler. It's very fresh."
