Whether she’s smouldering on the steps of the Met in fairytale braids or taking on the Versace runway in bone-straight hair and swooping, graphic cat eyes, Bella Hadid never fails to bring on the glamour. The chameleonic model commands every red carpet, so it’s only a matter of time before Charlotte Tilbury – arguably the most glamorous beauty brand out there – came calling.

26-year-old Hadid is the latest face of the brand, joining a star studded roster that includes actor Lily James and iconic British models, Jourdan Dunn and Kate Moss. Hadid’s debut campaign is for the new Airbrush Flawless Lip Blur, a hydrating matte liquid lipstick that’s easily blended out for a soft, just-been-kissed effect.

It’s a natural fit for Hadid, whose first lipstick memory is one we can all relate to. “I remember sneaking into my mum’s bathroom as a kid and putting on her lipstick,” she tells ELLE UK, adding that her mother Yolanda Hadid is also her “day one icon.”

She continues: “‘I’ve luckily learned since then that lipstick should be applied just to your lips and not the entire lower half of your face!”

Out of the eight shade line-up, Hadid singles out Ruby Blur, a rich Hollywood red, as a firm favourite. “(It) has quickly become my go-to, I’m obsessed because it gives you instant confidence and glamour,” she says, noting that Pillow Talk Blur is great for a “dreamy everyday look,” while Walk Of No Shame Blur is another one that never fails to give her a confidence boost.

No stranger to long days on set, Hadid’s trick for keeping her lipstick in place involves – you guessed it – a good setting spray. “I like to use Charlotte’s Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray because my make-up literally does not move after I’ve sprayed that on and it feels so hydrating on my skin,” she shares. As for ensuring her lips stay camera-ready, she relies of Charlotte’s Magic Lip Oil Crystal Elixir. “I wear it in the day to keep my lips feeling hydrated but I also use it at night before I go to bed as a lip conditioner,” says Hadid.

Liquid lipsticks are certainly making a comeback this season. The versatility of the Lip Blur, with its ability to be worn as a sheered-out stain or high-impact colour, will see you through the summer and beyond.
