We all know Canada is a big country, and while we sometimes find our local talent overshadowed by our cousins to the south, we have a tremendously fashionable population spread out from coast-to-coast. Here are 12 of our favourite Canadian fashion content creators serving up stylish looks that will elevate your feed. Some are up-and-coming and deserve more love and support while others have found major success online, for good reason.
12 Canadian Fashion Content Creators to Follow
Marielle Elizabeth TerHart, Edmonton
Sustainable fashion enthusiasts in search of their personal style are in good hands with Marielle Elizabeth TerHart. The writer and content creator is an advocate for local slow size-inclusive fashion and has a cozy, accessible, and authentic sense of style. Plus, she’s a certifiable cool girl who’s written for Vogue and frequently models for some of our favourite indie brands like Wray NYC.
Musemo Handahu, Halifax
Leigh Dickson, Vancouver
Leigh Dickson is a Vancouver-based model, photographer, and content creator. We love to see the talented triple-threat in locally-made couture pieces by designers such as Evan Clayton. Her style is edgy erring on the side of spooky with a touch of androgyny that Bowie would love.
Devin Michaels, Toronto
Devin Michaels is a entrepreneur and content creator based in Toronto. His fashion company produces country club inspired athleisure wear but his personal style leans more street. He’s definitely one for the causal dressers and serious sneakerheads.
Audrey Rivet, Montreal
Montreal-based content creator Audrey Rivet is the effortlessly chic cool girl we all wish we could be. Her fashion content walks the line between Gen Z and Millennial and feels lived in and authentic yet ultra stylish.
Ania Boniecka, Calgary
Ania Boniecka is a fashion and travel content creator on Instagram and TikTok. She is based in Calgary (and has an interior design account dedicated to her 1975 split level reno project in Canmore) but she and her partner, photographer Tyler Stalman travel the world documenting their adventures, and Boniecka’s stunning outfits through photos and video.
Sarah Ostiguy, Montreal/Toronto
Sarah Ostiguy is a woman about town. The fashion and beauty influencer splits her time between Montreal, Toronto and New York and we love following her well-dressed adventures. Her content also includes uplifting mental health and self love messaging that encourages plus sized folks to wear what makes them happy and helps people unlearn the fashion rules written by diet culture.
Mary Otakpor, Calgary/Vancouver
Mary Otakpor (A.K.A. @queensplayground) is a Canadian style blogger who’s been featured on CTV Calgary spotlighting Black-owned fashion brands. The Calgary- and Vancouver-based content creator doesn’t play into trends and instead focuses on bold glamorous pieces that will make you fall in love with colour and eager to find your own personal style.
Rebecca Ramsdale, Toronto
If you’re familiar with Toronto nail artist Rebecca Ramsdale’s designs, then you know what you’re getting yourself into following her personal account. She creates elaborate and slightly off-the-wall nail art that plays with pop-culture imagery and texture. Her outfits also largely follow the same idea: girly with a side of edge.
Lea, New Brunswick
Lea is a New Brunswick-based up-and-coming style, travel, and lifestyle content creator with an impeccable understated fashion sense. Her look is chic with a hint of corporate but when she travels the bold colours and patterns come out and we love it. She is definitely one to watch.
Jessica Concannon, Montreal
One word: expensive. Jessica Concannon’s account @westmountfashionista is dedicated to loud luxury. The fashion content creator has been blogging since 2011 and if Charlotte York had been an influencer we can only assume that her feed would look just as aspirational and curated as Concannon’s.
Ajikè, Calgary
Ajikè, A.K.A. @queenarewami, is a Calgary-based entrepreneur and content creator. She makes workout videos and “get ready with me” content on TikTok and Youtube but her stunning outfit photos can be found on Instagram. Her style is colourful, figure hugging, sexy and sophisticated.
