Prince William opens up about the emotional toll of his job
Will and Kate dropped by for a surprise visit to one of the charities they support today…and things got unexpectedly emotional for our future king.
The pair (seen above at an engagement yesterday) stopped in at helpline run by Young Minds UK, an organisation that supports young people’s mental health. While they certainly would have expected to see some intense stuff (it is a crisis hotline, after all), it all got a bit close to home for Wills, who you’ll recall worked as a rescue ambulance pilot until very recently.
“i’m carrying too many things at the moment,” the Daily Mail reports Wills saying as he asked to be excused from hearing any stories that were too ‘distressing.’
“Otherwise, I’ll be in floods of tears!”
To which we say…there’s no shame in that! I’m sure Kate would be a more than willing shoulder to cry on.
