Sit back and relax. There’s no DIY beauty message when it comes to describing the McQueen hair and beauty looks for Spring 2014. This is pure fantasy. Think futuristic, ’20s-style noble warrior. It’s part Tron; part Clara Bow bob silhouette. The key piece? A coppery-hued metal helmet. Underneath, the
hair has been lacquered onto the head, so the focus is entirely on the bold, metal headpiece. “For many seasons we really haven’t done hair at McQueen,” stylist Guido Paulo told the assembled beauty scribes. “It seems like it’s a McQueen thing now to create a
hair treatment that complements the clothes. We looked at different references from different eras. There’s not really a time period but you know this woman is a warrior.” McQueen’s beauty message is equally esoteric—unless, like John Travolta, you like to augment your hairline with a little air-brushed assistance.
