Crazy, Stupid, Love

If we’re all being honest with ourselves, we can admit that Crazy, Stupid, Love—a.k.a. the 2011 romcom with overlapping stories that kicked off Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone’s on-screen partnership—is only one-third of a good movie. But that one-third (which, if it wasn’t clear, is any scene including Gosling and/or Stone) is so good, everything else surrounding it almost doesn’t matter, and that, to me, is a good enough reason to rewatch the flick. A Man in Full

If there’s one thing I can count on prolific screenwriter David E. Kelley (Big Little Lies, Ally McBeal, The Undoing, Nine Perfect Strangers) to do, it’s create a delicious TV drama about the outrageous issues that only obscenely wealthy people may experience. That’s why I’ll be seated for A Man in Full, a six-episode miniseries (directed, in part, by Regina King) that follows Charlie Croker, Atlanta’s biggest real estate mogul who must fight to restore his empire in the face of sudden bankruptcy. Jeff Daniels, Diane Lane, William Jackson Harper, Aml Ameen, Tom Pelphrey, Chanté Adams and Lucy Liu star. May 2

Selling the OC (Season 3)

Fill in the Selling Sunset offseason with the latest batch of episodes of spinoff series Selling the OC. Expect plenty of drama ranging from spreading rumours and blatant backstabbing in what is expected to be the last season for agents like Tyler Stanaland, who revealed that he has left The Oppenheim Group’s Orange County branch to work with his dad at a rival agency last fall. May 3

Bodkin

Obsessed with true-crime podcasts? Get ready for Bodkin, a humorous yet dark thriller that follows an American podcaster (Will Forte) who teams up with a troubled journalist (Siobhán Cullen) to investigate a decades-old cold case in a small Irish town. May 9

Mother of The Bride

Wedding season is upon us, and what better way is there to kick off the festivities than an on-theme romcom? In Mother of the Bride, Emma surprises her mother, Lana, with the news that she’ll be getting married at a Thailand resort in a month. But things get even more shocking for Lana: her daughter’s soon-to-be father-in-law is the man who broke her heart in college. Brooke Shields, Miranda Cosgrove, Benjamin Bratt and Chad Michael Murray are among the ensemble cast. May 9

Bridgerton (Season 3, Part 1)

This is a good news/bad news situation. The good news? Regency-era romantic drama Bridgerton is finally back for its long-awaited third season. The bad? The season is being split into half, so we’ll have to wait until June instead of mainlining all eight episodes in one sitting. The better? Season three is sourced from the fan-fave book of the series and focuses on Nicola Coughlan’s Penelope Featherington. Will she find her storybook romance with eternal crush Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) while maintaining her secret identity as gossip writer Lady Whistledown? Let’s find out, shall we? May 16

Atlas

Jennifer Lopez is coming for the sci-fi genre with Atlas, an explosive action movie that follows a reclusive data analyst on a quest to save humanity. Lopez is the titular Atlas, a brilliant woman with a deep distrust of AI (same, tbh) who joins a mission to capture a renegade robot. But when said mission leaves her stranded, the only way for her plan to succeed is to do the thing she least wants to do: trust the AI that is accompanying her. Sterling K. Brown, Simu Liu and Mark Strong also star. May 24

Eric

Just from the basic synopsis, miniseries Eric sounds like it will be a harrowing experience. Set in the 1980s, the show stars Benedict Cumberbatch as Vincent, a successful puppeteer in NYC and creator of a mega-popular children’s series. But his dream life begins to unravel when his nine-year-old son goes missing, leading Vincent to become obsessed with his kid’s many drawings of an imaginary blue puppet monster. As his desperate search continues, Vincent becomes more and more destructive, alienating the people who are left around him. May 30
