Zendaya and Tom Holland rarely walk red carpets together, but in private, the couple has discussed walking down the aisle. A source told People that nearly three years into dating publicly, “There has been talk of marriage, and that is a reality.”
Don’t expect them to discuss that on Instagram though. As the source explained, “They are not the kind of stars who put their lives together out there on social media for the most part. Both are private. [The attention fame brings them] has never been easy or comfortable for either of them.”
At the moment, both are focused on their careers: “Work is important to both and that keeps them busy now.”
Holland and Zendaya are both 27.
People reported they first dated in July 2017. A source told the outlet then, “They started seeing each other while they were filming Spider-Man. They’ve been super careful to keep it private and out of the public eye, but they’ve gone on vacations with each other and try and spend as much time as possible with one another.”
The actors denied it at the time, with Zendaya posting on X, then known as Twitter, “Wait wait…my favorite is when it says we go on vacations together HA! I haven’t been on a vacation in years! hbu?”
Holland replied, “Does the press tour count?”

Both went on to have relationships with other people. In 2019, Zendaya was romantically linked to Jacob Elordi, while Holland dated Nadia Parkes in 2020.
Those romances ended, and the Spider-Man stars eventually reconnected in private. A video of them kissing at a red light in L.A. revealed their romantic relationship in July 2021. They have since been publicly supportive of each other but protective of their privacy.
Zendaya spoke to ELLE last summer about how she achieves the right balance for them. “Parts of my life, I accept, are going to be public,” she said. “I can’t not be a person and live my life and love the person I love. But also, I do have control over what I choose to share. It’s about protecting the peace and letting things be your own but also not being afraid to exist. You can’t hide. That’s not fun, either. I am navigating it more than ever now.”
