El Salvador’s National Palace was set ablaze with style and grandeur befitting the high-octane glamour of Fashion Week El Salvador. The pièces de résistance? None other than the immaculate collections of GLAUDI by Johana Hernandez and the captivating designs of Monica Arguedas.

A true force to be reckoned with, Beverly Hills-based celebrity designer Johana Hernandez turned heads with her haute-couture bridal and evening gowns—a masterful blend of luxury, sophistication and unparalleled craftsmanship. With her sights set on infusing a dose of Beverly Hills glitz into El Salvador’s fashion scene, Hernandez geared up to make a lasting impression.

Sharing the limelight, Arguedas, a Parsons School of Design alumna, flexed her design prowess on the runway. A pillar in the Salvadoran fashion scene since 2012, she has been unwavering in her ambition to revolutionize the nation’s fashion industry. Her atelier and ready-to-wear boutique creations were on full display alongside Hernandez’s, creating a harmonious tableau of elegance and innovation at the presidential palace.

Stealing the show was Lorraine D’Alessio, a former Ford Models face now turned international immigration advocate and business attorney. D’Alessio, who hails from Canada, founded her successful legal firm in Beverly Hills, inspired by the immigration challenges she faced during her modelling tenure. “I’m delighted to support and represent my dear friends and clients Johana and Monica by gracing the runway. It was an honour to unveil their stunning collections,” beamed D’Alessio.

Illustrious guests in attendance included former U.S. ambassador to El Salvador Ronald Johnson and Vogue senior editor José Forteza. More than just a night of fashion, the event was a testament to the power of female camaraderie and support—a grand ode to the women of El Salvador, who deservedly basked in the glow of this celebratory occasion.

And as for the women behind the event? They’re the ones to keep your eye on.
