Designers, models and A-listers took to the iconic Royal Albert Hall in London last night to celebrate the 2019 British Fashion Awards. Held annually as a fundraiser for the British Fashion Council – a non-profit which supports initiatives that grow the industry – the awards honour the most influential individuals and businesses of the year.

Among the night’s winners were Rihanna’s label Fenty for the Urban Luxe award. The singer launched Fenty earlier this year with LVMH, becoming the first woman to create an original brand at the conglomerate and the first woman of colour to head a LVMH maison. Bottega Veneta creative director Daniel Lee took home four out of 15 awards. Since taking over as the creative director of Bottega Veneta last year, he’s transformed the heritage brand through modern takes on its craftsmanship; you’ve definitely seen the pouch bag and square toe pumps on every Instagram It girl. Adut Akech, who won Model of the Year, has been one of the biggest new faces in the industry since signing an exclusive with Saint Laurent for their spring-summer 2017 show.
