Into The Blue

Disco Star
Saturday-night fever took over the runways in a blur of sequins, oversized metallic paillettes, exaggerated ruffles and shimmering Lurex. With these radiant rose, silver and gold creations, designers wanted to show us that there is a light at the end of the tunnel—and it’s brighter than ever.

New Uniform
For the past year, comfortable, sporty clothing has been a part of our daily lives. This season, our wardrobe, ready for reinvention, will spring from its couch zone and hit the streets. At Miu Miu, the nonchalance of a track suit was paired with the elegance of a romantic blouse.

All Puffed Up
Big, rounded shoulders accented by balloon sleeves took dresses, tops, blazers and coats to new, voluminous heights. The result? A spherical statement that’s certainly hard to miss.

Reinvented Classics
Designers took a fresh look at wardrobe essentials—trench coats, blazers and shirts—and gave them a bold, brave and adventurous update.

Barely There
Whether casual or captivating, transparent, skin-baring and flesh-toned fabrics ruled the runways. The freedom of diaphanous dresses and delicate lingerie highlighted our desire to feel—and dress—as light as air.

Dark Desire
Drama clashed with daywear for a total wardrobe blackout. Theatrical gowns, old-fashioned outfits and Gothic-style slip-dresses were a stylishly caustic nod to the dreary mood of the past year.
