On the final day of Paris Fashion Week Fall 2015 it comes down to Louis Vuitton and Miu Miu. Who ruled the runway? Our editors take sides.

As Paris Fashion Week draws to a close (à bientôt!), our editors weigh in on their favourite runway looks from Day 9. For fashion features editor, Lisa Guimond, the top prize goes to Louis Vuitton’s sweet lace skirt and sweater combo (left), while assistant fashion editor Ava Baccari loves Miu Miu’s cute-but-not-too-cute layered look (right).

Lisa’s favourite look: Louis Vuitton

There’s something quite pared down about this look, even though the colour combo is risky. It’s really all in the details for me – the belt, the flared sleeves and the marriage of lace and leather (a timeless union if ever there was one). It’s very rock ’n roll.

There are so many wonderfully tactile stories at play here that I don’t even know where to begin. Let’s start from the bottom, as Drake did, with those perfectly saccharine bubblegum patent peep-toe heels and move up to the houndstooth tweed skirt with python pocket embellishments – it’s an oh-so-clever dose of sass in what could have been too-sweet outfit. This is a modern woman: Yes she’s polished and poised, but that doesn’t stop her from having all the fun.
