Fashion faceoff: LFW Fall 2015 Day 4
Our editors choose their favourite gowns from the fourth day of London Fashion Week Fall 2015. Who comes out on top?
It was all about the high-drama gowns at LFW Fall 2015 Day 4. But who did it best? Assistant fashion editor Ava Baccari is all about that closing look at Giles (left), while associate fashion editor Charlotte Herrold can’t get enough of Erdem’s floor-length violet number (right).
Ava’s favourite look: Giles
Anna Cleveland (yes, the Pat Cleveland’s daughter) pirouetting down the runway in this billowing and pleated cocktail gown pretty much sums up the vibe of this eclectic if risqué ecclesiastical winter collection. Leave it to Giles to perfectly marry the two seemingly opposed sentiments in a wonderfully playful and macabre collection.
Charlotte’s favourite look: Erdem
Oh, Erdem. I could actually feel my heart beat a little bit faster when I saw this gown. This is pure fashion romance – the kind of dress you would remember yourself wearing in a romanticized version of the minute you fell in love for the first time. And then you would never want to take it off again.
