On Day 2 of London Fashion Week Fall 2015, associate fashion editor Charlotte Herrold’s vote is for Simone Rocha’s opening look (left), while content producer Sarah Thompson vouches for House of Holland’s pink-and-red ensemble (right) as best runway mome of the day.

Charlotte’s favourite look: Simone Rocha

Buzzy on-the-rise Brit designer Simone Rocha has been refining her girl over the past few seasons and for Fall 2015 she has hit her sartorial stride. Her opening look, in rich black bead-encrusted velvet, is saturated in old-world romance while the cut remains thoroughly modern. Rocha’s inventive use of texture, embellishment, volume and asymmetry makes her one of the most exciting designers to watch now. Also: I’m going to need those shoes for Fall 2015, please.

Sarah’s favourite look: House of Holland

Henry, you’ve done it again! It’s only Day 2 of LFW Fall 2015 and I think we’ve already spotted the strongest execution of layering we’re going to see all season. From the expertly wrapped pastel pink scarf and matching envelope clutch to the abstract red trench coat paired with black leggings, a leather belt and ankle boots (on a conveyor style runway, no less), this House of Holland look is #polarvortex proof and ultra chic at the same time. What more could a Canadian girl ask for?
