You know the three Rs: reuse, reduce and recycle. Now, Converse is adding one more: renew.

The brand is making its signature shoes—the Chuck Taylor All Star and Chuck 70—sustainable with versions made from recycled canvas, denim and cotton. This collection launches as part of Converse Renew, their commitment to developing more sustainable ways of production.

The three styles will drop one at a time, with Converse Renew Canvas launching this month. The vibrant green shoe looks like the brand’s ubiquitous canvas but is instead made from recycled plastic bottles. For lovers of vintage jeans, Converse Renew Denim will be available in August, and utilizes hand-picked denim diverted from landfills. Lastly, Converse Renew Cotton will come out next spring and sees cotton canvas waste transformed into a recycled polyester blend.
