Rising R&B duo Chloe x Halle – a.k.a. sisters Chloe and Halle Bailey – are the new faces of the Fendi #MeAndMyPeekaboo series celebrating the newest iteration of the iconic bag.
The dreamy 45-second campaign features and was inspired by the track “Busy Boy” from their newly released sophomore album Ungodly Hour. Filmed during quarantine in the sisters’ home backyard, the playful mix of summer-inspired scenery – tennis, alfresco dining and a pool dip – was an ode to the fun nature of the song and the bag.
“Since we can remember, we have always been huge fans of the Fendi brand,” said the sisters. “Fendi is the perfect mixture of classy and sexy, and we were more than happy to be a part of this project.”
For the first time, Fendi also gave complete creative control of the episode over to its stars, from the conception to the production team. Stylist Zerina Akers (who’s also Beyoncé’s personal stylist, NBD) chose pieces from the pre-fall 2020 collection to complement each sister’s personal style.
The updated Peekaboo was presented in February as part of the Fendi fall/winter 2020-2021 collection and features a new accordion-frame shape, along with inside pockets that are interchangeable with smooth leather or precious skins. It will launch in-stores in August.
