Chanel’s newly released Gabrielle handbag, which debuted on during the brand’s Spring 2017 show (you know, the one with the robots) has a lot of things going for it. There’s the sturdy and solid base, said to have been inspired by a set of VR goggles, which moulds to the curve your hip in a way that suggests it was always meant to be by your side. Those iconic double Cs make an appearance courtesy of an oversized zipper pull. Then there are the bag’s two mixed-metal chain straps, which contribute to the bag’s most compelling feature: its versatility. The bag is meant to be worn several different ways, from cross-body to clutch. See them all* in the video below.
