Toronto Fashion Week Spring 2013: Lucian Matis, Korhani Home, Mackage, Joe Fresh + our top model moments
Here is my Instagram Diary from Day 3 of Toronto Fashion Week:
The finale gown at the Lucian Matis show was so cool—a massive, leather number with a deep v down the front and peplum detailing. I’m not sure how anyone would actually ever be able to wear it (could you sit down? Would it make you sweat?) but it was fun to look at nonetheless. A live parrot on the Korhani runway
Korhani always puts on the best show of fashion week, just because the models always look like they are having so much fun! We loved the addition of a live parrot to this Frida Kahlo inspired look.
I’m already planning my acquisition of this mint green leather from the Mackage show. Summer leather? Why not. Post-Mackage, I caught up with Irina Lazaraenu, who was having a smoke behind the tents. How effortlessly cool is she?
Joe Fresh brought in the big guns to Toronto Fashion Week, with Pat Cleveland opening and closing the show doing her signature shuffle dance. Also present were former ELLE Canada cover girls Tara Gill, Herieth Paul and Meghan Collison. Unfortunately, my pictures ended up bing a bit on the blurry side, but here’s a shot of Pat as she makes her way down the runway.
