Toronto Fashion Week Fall 2013: Comrags and Jean-Pierre Braganza talk about their newest collections at the shOws
The Comrags finale at the shOws
It’s shOwtime! Comrags’ Joyce and Judy, and London-based designer Jean-Pierre Braganza kicked off Toronto Fashion Week at the Andrew Richards Designs space last night. Post show, the designers sounded off on their Fall/Winter 2013 collections.
Joyce: "Judy and I really like vintage things, and what’s really fun is to find something special and mash it up. We found beautiful fabric and created a collection that’s chopped and exposed."
Judy: "Joyce and I don’t like anything too precious—so when we created pieces for this collection, if they looked too pretty, we would wash the garments after they were made and wouldn’t press them afterwards to get the look we wanted."

Jean Pierre Braganza: "My leather jackets have a motif made of laser cut scored leather. The nature of my designs is that there are hidden elements—like one of my coats, which also functions as a skirt when you unzip it. Versatility of design is very important to me."
