. Prediction: Léa Seydoux is going to be a superstar. The French actress and
It girl has six movies coming out in the next two years, including
Beauty and the Beast, in which she plays opposite perennial French heartthrob Vincent Cassel, and
Saint Laurent, for which Seydoux channels Loulou de la Falaise, the famed muse of the legendary French designer. Last night, Seydoux was in town to promote
Blue Is the Warmest Color at a packed party on the Thompson Hotel rooftop.
Blue, which won the Palme d’Or at Cannes in May, has sparked buzz for its superlative performances (by Seydoux and co-star Adèle Exarchopolous), as well as their (rather lengthy) lesbian sex scenes. There is also
reportedly a tiff between the actresses and the director, but there was no sign of unrest last night as Seydoux and Exarchopolous hung out in the roped off VIP area, as partygoers unabashedly snapped iPhone pics and sipped Disaranno cocktails. Seydoux, in particular, was lovely in ladylike
Prada. "I have my own stylist—it’s my sister!" she said, laughing. "She came with me here to Toronto and she helped me with my dress." Nice job, sis.
