The top 8 finalists for the 2015 LVMH Young Fashion Designer prize have been announced!
Here’s how the LVMH Young Fashion Designer process works. First, a pool of 26 up-and-coming
international designers are narrowed down to eight by a panel of LVMH-selected judges during a special showroom at
Paris Fashion Week. Then, the newcomers head to the Louis Vuitton Foundation in Paris to present their key pieces (in less than ten minutes!) to a group of experts (including Céline’s Phoebe Philo, Kenzo’s Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, Fendi’s Karl Lagerfeld, Dior’s Raf Simons, Loewe’s Jonathan Anderson, Givenchy’s Riccardo Tisci, Louis Vuitton’s Nicolas Ghesquière, Marc Jacobs and members of the LVMH) who will decide the winner of the $407,400 (300,000 euro) prize. Last year,
Canadian designer to watch Thomas Tait took home the coveted award. (Way to make us proud, Thomas!) Stay tuned – this year’s victor will be announced on May 22nd 2015.
