Mejuri is a quintessentially millennial jewellery brand. Its minimalist, feminine creations are locally and sustainably made and the brand drops new styles, from signet rings to delicate pendants, weekly. So when it came to launching engagement rings, Mejuri turned to its savvy customer base. “Many of our customers are not traditional brides – they’re looking for something more personal than a diamond solitaire engagement ring,” says Mejuri co-founder Noura Sakkijha. “We gathered a ton of feedback about large solitaires being awkward and impersonal to wear. We wanted to create a curated, organic collection that is strong because of the details of the design and not the size of the stone,” explains creative director Justine Lancon.

The rings, which are minimalist yet distinctive, feature gemstones like Australian Blue Sapphire and Peach Morganite along with asymmetrical clusters of diamonds. Customers can select from yellow or white gold, and each style can be paired with a complementary band. To make the process more personal, Mejuri will hold styling sessions by appointment at their Toronto showroom. Prices range from $195-$2000.

And if you’re not planning an egagement anytime soon, we see no reason not to wear one of these rings as a special-occasion piece. After all, this jewellery is for rule-breakers.
