Canadian designer Sid Neigum just landed on Net-a-Porter
The directional Canadian label is growing its online presence.
We all browse Net-a-Porter in search of Gucci Princetown loafers and J.W. Anderson Pierce bags, but the luxury e-comm site has also developed a reputation for introducing cool new brands before they’re everywhere (Rejina Pyo, Magda Butrym and Jacquemus are just a few examples). Today, the site will begin to carry an exclusive selection from Toronto designer Sid Neigum’s fall 2017 collection. Though Neigum isn’t new to the fashion scene (he won the prestigious Toronto Fashion Incubator New Labels competition back in 2012), the kind of validation and global exposure that comes from a Net-a-Porter stocklist is cause for celebration. The six styles up for grabs include a red cut-out midi dress, an angular poplin skirt and a wrap jacket and skirt made from a burnished gold velvet that’s in keeping with Neigum’s geometry-inspired design sensibility.
