In addition to shopping from Black-owned businesses, calling on major retailers to pledge 15 percent of shelf space to Black-owned businesses and donating directly to Black organizations and groups in Canada, you can also choose to shop from brands that are donating proceeds from their sales to groups fighting anti-Black racism. Here’s a list of Canadian designers, brands and shops that are currently donating part or all of their sales.

Tanya Taylor

The Canadian designer will be donating 20 percent of net sales to the NAACP, the United State’s largest grassroots-based civil rights organization.

Kathryn Bowen

The Toronto-based designer is donating all the profits from the sale of the mesh tube bustier to the Black Visions Collective and the Black Legal Action Centre.

The Toronto-based lingerie and loungewear label is donating all of its proceeds until June 6 to Black Lives Matter Canada and the Black Visions Collective.

A portion of the sales from this week will be donated to the Black Visions Collective and Black Legal Action Centre.

Bully Boy Lingerie

The Toronto-based lingerie line will be donating half of its profits this week to the Justice for Regis Korchinski-Paquet GoFundMe, Black Visions Collective and Reclaim the Block.

Boneset

All of the sales this week will be donated to the Women’s Health in Women’s Hands Community Health Centre in support of primary healthcare for racialized and trans people from Black, Latin American and South Asian communities.

Dr. Liza Shoes

Osteopath Dr. Liza Egbogah is donating $75 from the sale of every black pump from her footwear line, Dr. Liza, to Black Lives Matter Toronto until June 7.

Amanda Rach Lee

A portion of the proceeds from the stationary brand’s Academic Doodle Planner will be donated to the Black Business and Professional Association, STEMHub Foundation and Black Lives Matter Toronto.

Nina Santiago-Escalante

All of the proceeds from the coasters made by Toronto artist Nina Santiago-Escalante will go towards the Ocama Collective in support of IBPOC birth workers.

Sarisha Beauty

The Toronto-based beauty brand is donating 10 percent of sales to Black Lives Matter and Reclaim the Block to support divestment from policing in Minneapolis.
