Today, Burberry released its first-ever bag campaign starring model Bella Hadid for the Pocket Bag. Designed by chief creative officer Riccardo Tisci, the structured tote puts a spin on an archival Burberry bag with the addition of a front pocket and leather taping. The bag is available in a variety of colourways, including canvas and leather, and sizes, ranging from mini to extra large.
The animal kingdom-inspired campaign is another nod to longstanding Burberry codes. “Animals have always been a creative obsession and signature of mine, and it was so amazing to see Bella Hadid bring this to life as the panther,” said Tisci in a statement. “She has this fierce power and raw femininity that perfectly embodies the animal spirit.”
This is Hadid’s second campaign for the luxury British house. “I absolutely loved shooting this campaign, letting my inner animal spirit run free! We had so much fun on set, the mood was really sultry and playful, I felt we were really capturing that feline energy and power,” she said in a statement. (The campaign was shot prior to the coronavirus pandemic.)
